CUP AND SAUCER, the cup 2-1/2 inches high, the saucer 5-12 inches diameter. Painted in trompe l'oeil with a black print of buildings in a landscape on a faux bois ground. Both the cup and saucer have a trompe l'oeil pleated ribbon border and a gold rim over an underglaze blue design.
Mark; cup an impressed shield and blue painted number 23, impressed # 20; Saucer with blue painted shield and number 19. impressed # 800 & # 37
In well of saucer minor loss to print and some roughness
