The well is painted with a harbor landscape and titled in red on reverse

 

Titled on reverse as follows ROSS,TREVOR.PIER.

This scene is based on the etching in The Scenery and Antiquities of Ireland published 1841, illustrated by William H. Bartlett (1809-1854).

The correct name for this village is Rostrevor.

It is in County Down, Northern Ireland.
