Damm made these figures in earthenware from the molds from the defunct Hochst manufactory which originally produced them in porcelain in the 18th century.

Almost invisible restoration to hat and neck area. Left arm reattached. Very good appearance.

Mark a blue wheel with "D".

Around 1840, Daniel Ernst Müller purchased the Höchst figural models for the earthenware manufactory in Damm near Aschaffenburg.

The old models, particularly those by Johann Peter Melchior, were used as a basis for making these charming new forms.
