Height 1-1/2 inches, diameter 9 inches.

Wide border painted with colorful garden flowers and accented with an ornate gilded lace and scroll rim.

The well with a gilded six point star. raised on a shallow foot

A service with an identical six point star in the well was made for King Louis-Philippe in 1838

 

 

 

 

 

 

The impressed "43" shows this dish was made in 1843 under Louis-Philippe and the lozenge with
"S 48" that it was decorated in the first year of the Second Republic

Mark: Over glaze lozenge in green with "S48". Impressed "Dd-8-43" and "ZZ" or "22". The Blue crossed LLs with "AC"were added later
